Virtual visits
Follow-ups and evaluations by secure video. We send you a link for your appointment — no procedure is done on video. Injections and other procedures are still in the office.
What a virtual visit is for
- Follow-up visits after an in-office procedure or exam
- Review of imaging, EMG results, or a treatment plan
- Medication and conservative-care check-ins
- Workers’ compensation or auto-injury discussion when an exam in person is not required that day
- Second-opinion conversation before you travel to Rocky Mount, Wilson, or Raleigh
What we do not do on video
- Epidurals, injections, nerve ablations, or other procedures
- A first-visit procedure (those are never done at the initial consultation, in person or virtual)
- Visits that need a hands-on exam — we will bring you in
How it works
- Request an appointment and write virtual visit in the message, or tell us when we call you back.
- We confirm the time and that a video visit is appropriate for what you need.
- Before the visit you receive a secure video link by text or email (through Athena or Doximity). Join from your phone or computer camera. You do not need to create a Doximity account.
- Existing patients can also use the patient portal.
- Be in North Carolina at the time of the visit, with a quiet place and a stable connection.
Who can be seen
Virtual visits are for patients located in North Carolina at the time of the appointment. Our physicians practice in NC (Rocky Mount, Wilson, and Raleigh). If you are out of state, call the office — we cannot assume we can see you by video.
Insurance
Some plans cover telehealth; some do not. Coverage is not guaranteed. See Insurance and call (252) 442-4024 so we can check your benefits before the visit. Self-pay is available.
After the visit
Existing patients can use the patient portal for messages and records. If we decide you need a procedure or a hands-on exam, we will schedule you at Rocky Mount (3101 Zebulon Rd), Wilson (1700 Forest Hills Rd), or Raleigh (8382 Six Forks Rd STE 102).
Video visits are offered when clinically appropriate. They are not a substitute for emergency care. If you have chest pain, sudden weakness, loss of bowel or bladder control, or another emergency, call 911.
